Description: | Potassium channels serve a wide range of functions, as evident from the linkage of potassium channel mutations to diseases of the brain, heart, muscle, kidney, pancreas, and neural crest-derived tissues. For these channels to serve their physiological functions, they have to be at the right place, in the right number and open at the right time. Recent studies of these different aspects of potassium channel regulation will be discussed.
