NAVY
David Boland, Incorporated, Titusville, Fla., is being
awarded a $5,544,000 firm-fixed-price contract for construction
of a C-17 Aircraft Maintenance Facility at Charleston Air Force
Base, Charleston, S.C.
Work will be performed in Charleston,
S.C., and is expected to be completed by January 1998.
Contract
funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.
This contract was competitively procured with 87 proposals
solicited and nine offers received.
The Southern Division, Naval
Facilities Engineering Command, Charleston, S.C., is the
contracting activity (N62467-94-C-0851).
Southwest Marine, Incorporated, San Diego, Calif., is being
awarded a $5,394,166 modification to previously awarded contract
N00024-96-C-2301 for accomplishment of the Post Shakedown
Availability (PSA) for the DDG 51 Class AEGIS Destroyer USS
MILIUS (DDG 69).
Work will be performed in San Diego, Calif.,
and is expected to be completed by October 1997.
Contract funds
will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.

AIR FORCE
Dyncorp, Ft. Worth, Texas; Call Henry, Inc., Cocoa, Fla.;
OAO Corporation, Altadena, Calif.; Karta Technologies, Inc., San
Antonio, Texas; CACI, Automated Systems Group, San Antonio,
Texas; TAD Resources International, Inc., San Antonio, Texas;
Lucent Technologies, San Antonio, Texas; and Trend Services,
Fullerton, Calif.; was awarded on December 30, a $165,000,000
indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract to provide for
the Mission Support contracts for Kelly Air Force Base, Texas and
McClellan Air Force Base, Calif.
Each contractor has $25,000 of
the contract obligated to them at this time.
Contractors will
provide qualified personnel in support of depot maintenance at
the aforementioned bases during the realignment/closure process
(through 13 July 2001).
These non-personal, non-supervisory
services may include such categories as aerospace engineering ,
accounting and finance
specialists, contract administration specialists, sheet metal
workers, engine mechanics,
electricians, and other base/depot support as required.
The work
will be performed at Kelly Air Force Base, Texas, and McClellan
Air Force Base, Calif.
Contract is expected to be completed
January 2002.

There were 283 firms solicited and 26
proposals received.
Solicitation began April 1996; negotiations

Grumman Aerospace Corporation, Melbourne, Fla., is being
awarded a $50,500,000 firm- fixed-price contract to provide for
advanced procurement for one E-8C Joint Surveillance Target
Attack Radar System (JSTARS) aircraft (Lot VI).
This effort
includes refurbishment and configuration update for one
Government furnished Boeing 707-300 aircraft, procurement of long
lead components, and commencement of advanced procurement to
replace obsolete parts.
The work will be performed at Grumman
Aerospace, Melbourne Fla. (36%), Northrop Grumman Aerospace, Lake
Cahrles, La. (36%), and at Northrop Grumman Norden Systems,
Norwalk, Conn. (28%).
Contract is expected to be completed
January 2001.

Electronic Systems Center, Hanscom
Air Force Base, Mass., is the contracting activity (F19628-97/C-
0001).
General Electric Aircraft Engines, Cincinnati, Ohio, is
being awarded a $37,498,000 face value increase to a cost-plus-
award-fee contract for the calendar year 1997 efforts under the
Component Improvement Program (CIP) for the F101/F110/F118/J79
General Electric engines.
The CIP provides contractor
engineering and test support to address service-related
operational problems and to reduce engine operating and support
costs.
Contract is expected to be completed December 1997.

ARMY
Raytheon Electronic Systems, Bedford, Mass., was awarded on
Dec. 30, 1996, a $76,828,881 modification to a cost-plus-award-
fee multi-year contract to provide continuing engineering support
services for PATRIOT FY97, hardware and software for the life
cycle of the PATRIOT Air Defense System, for the countries of
Japan, Kuwait, Israel, The Netherlands, Taiwan, Germany, and
Saudi Arabia.
Work will be performed in Bedford, Mass. (18.20%);
Andover, Mass. (4.95%); Burlington, Mass. (7.8%); Huntsville,
Ala. (8.31%); Orlando, Fla. (1.15%); Tewksbury, Mass (57.66%); El
Paso, Texas (0.74%); and outside of the continental United States
(1.19%), and is expected to be completed by Jan. 31, 1998.

Phase III Product Improvement Program to Saudi Arabia, Royal
Saudi Air Defense Forces.
This includes modification kits,
spares and conversion material.

$1,699,384,582 modification to a $3,730,164,456 cost-plus-award-
fee (base fee 3%, performance award fee 7%) contract for the RAH-
66 Comanche program restructure to complete the
demonstration/validation phase of testing two prototype aircraft
and the addition of six early operational capability aircraft.
Work will be performed in Ridley Park, Pa. (20%); Stratford,
Conn. (20%); flight testing at Jupiter, Fla. (10%); and 50% at
various subcontractors all over the United States, and is
expected to be completed by Sept. 30, 2002.

Radar System (JSTARS) with electric security system, site
improvements, and connection to a central chilled water plant.
Work will be performed at Robins Air Force Base, Macon, Ga., and
is expected to be completed by Oct. 30, 1998.
