Malaria Research and Reference Reagent Resource Center (MR4)

What services does this resource provide?

The Malaria Research and Reference Reagent Resource Center (MR4) provides

  • Quality controlled malaria-related research materials for use as reference standards or to generate new renewable reagents. Custom items may also be prepared on a one-time basis.

    MR4 also invites investigators to deposit (non-Government link)research materials.

  • Workshops and training activities for malaria researchers

Where are services provided?

The American Type Culture Collection (ATCC) maintains the Malaria Research and Reference Reagent Resource Center (MR4) (non-Government link). The ATCC subcontracts to the Centers for Disease Control Foundation to provide mosquito reagents. Other reagents may also be provided by subcontracts.
