The Census is a portrait of America and helps the nation plan for its
future. To support and promote Census 2000, the nation's largest peacetime
effort in the history of the U.S., we are offering a variety of photographs,
free of charge. The photographs show a variety of Census 2000 activities.
You can use these photos in newsletters, flyers, brochures, or in any other
Census 2000 marketing materials you develop.
Redistricting Photos — A compilation of photos documenting Census 2000 operations from collection to the release of the nation's resident population. Census 2000 Apportionment News Conference, December 28, 2000 — The U.S. Census Bureau reports that the U.S. resident population on April 1, 2000, was 281,421,906. Alaska Events — First count of Census 2000 takes place in Alaska. Hawaii Events — Census Bureau Director Kenneth Prewitt kicks off Census 2000 operations in Honolulu, Hawaii. Kids Count: Census in the Schools — Officials and project staff teach children about the census.
