WASHINGTON, DC - The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) has awarded a leading edge Geospatial Information and Services (GIS) Support task order for the U.S. Air Force bases in the Pacific Air Forces (PACAF).

GSA's Federal Systems Integration and Management Center (FEDSIM), a program of the Federal Technology Service (FTS), competitively selected Titan Corporation through FTS's Millennia Lite contract on behalf of its USAF client. With all options exercised the seven year eight month task order will have a minimum value of over $69 million.

The task order will provide legacy systems migration, new enterprise systems development and related GIS supportincluding mission critical supportto the U.S. Air Force GeoBase Program and other major commands and DoD organizations worldwide.

"We are very pleased that the U.S. Air Force offered FTS's FEDSIM program the opportunity to assist in managing this acquisition and are very proud of the acquisition support and project management that we have provided to date," said FTS Commissioner, Sandra Bates. "The Millennia Lite contract was an excellent acquisition tool to assist the U.S. Air Force with these requirements because it specifically addresses the functional areas needed while simultaneously offering a great deal of flexibility." Bates added, "I am confident that FEDSIM's project management expertise will continue to add value to the U.S. Air Force as work under the task order begins."

FEDSIM offers a wide range of support for planning, developing, acquiring, implementing, maintaining, and managing IT resources and support services. Managing over $1.4 billion in new IT acquisitions in 2002, FEDSIM has a proven track record of developing innovative and award-winning solutions to government IT problems and satisfying requirements for specific IT products and services.
