Center for Asset Management Policy Formulation

The Center for Asset Management Policy Formulation formulates governmentwide policies for the life-cycle management of government assets (including aircraft and motor vehicles, except federal government motor vehicles exempt under the Federal Property and Administrative Services Act of 1949, as amended). Provides policy consultation and advisory assistance pertaining to asset management issues. Coordinates approvals/disapprovals for regulatory waiver requests to asset management regulations for property entering the surplus, excess, donation and sale phase of property management; maintains liaison with executive agencies, state and local governments, public and private organizations, and non-federal organizations on plans and policies for asset management programs. Reviews and evaluates management policies and objectives relative to asset management programs, including federal government aircraft and motor vehicles. Collaborates with stakeholders through governmentwide interagency committees.
