DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

The Profit Recovery Group, Int'l Inc., Atlanta, Ga., is being awarded a $29,000,000 firm- fixed-price contract for the continuation and expansion of the audit demonstration program. Sixty proposals were solicited and 2 were received. Work will be performed in Atlanta, Ga., and is expected to be completed by August 30, 2002. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Defense Supply Center Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (SP0103-99-D-0004).

NAVY

Sarnoff Corp., Princeton, N.J., is being awarded a $14,286,000 other transaction agreement to demonstrate and evaluate the feasibility of using commercial technologies to develop prototype system solutions for the Navy. The technology areas for prototype research are high bandwidth information communication, compression, digital imaging and video processing, visualization, distributed collaboration, computing, displays, information processing, records management, on-line interactive training, assisted target recognition, multimedia databases, data architectures, storage media and storage devices. The contractor will identify the limitations of current systems and explore what technologies are adaptable, what applications are feasible, and what solutions are best for various users across the Navy. Work will be performed in Princeton, N.J., and is expected to be completed by April 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured under a Broad Agency Announcement, which is open and ongoing, therefore it is not possible to determine the number of proposals received. The Office of Naval Research, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity (N00014-99-0001).

AIR FORCE

Computer Sciences Raytheon, Patrick AFB, Fla., is exercising an option to a $49,200,000 cost-plus-award-fee contract, F08650-94-C-0001-P00161, to provide for FY 1999 range technical services for operation and maintenance of the Eastern Range from October 1999 through March 2000. Expected contract completion date is March 31, 2000. The 45th Contracting Squadron, Patrick AFB, Fla., is the contracting activity.

CABACO, Inc., Sierra Vista, Ariz., is exercising an option to a $9,098,091 firm-fixed-price contract, F26600-95-C0043-P00079, to provide for FY2000 operation and maintenance of base facilities on the Nellis Training and Test Range, Nev. Expected contract completion date is Sept. 30, 2000. Solicitation issue date was March 6, 1995. Range Management Office, Nellis AFB, Nev., is the contracting activity.

Andersen Consulting, Chicago, Ill., is being awarded a $6,976,772 modification to a cost-plus-award-fee contract, F19628-96-C-0127-P00038, to provide for integration support for the Integrated Maintenance Data System (IMDS) and the Reliability and Maintainability Information Systems (REMIS). Expected contract completion date is Sept. 29, 2000. Solicitation issue date was June 11, 1999. Negotiation completion date was Aug. 31, 1999. Standard Systems Group, Maxwell AFB, Gunter Annex, Ala., is the contracting activity.

ARMY

ETCON Inc., dba JHL Construction, Gatesville, Texas, was awarded on Aug. 23, 1999, a firm-fixed-price requirements contract (appropriation number and dollar value will be issued with each delivery order), with a base year total of $10,727,985 and a cumulative total of $31,896,955 (base year and two 1-year options). The contractor will provide various and assorted paving and concrete tasks as needed throughout the installation, including, but not limited to, paving and marking roads, streets, and concrete work such as sidewalks, erosion retard, pavement reinforcement, drainage structures, etc. Work will be performed at Ft. Hood, Texas, and is expected to be completed by July 31, 2002. There were nine bids solicited on June 30, 1999, and three bids were received. The III Corps & Ft. Hood Directorate of Contracting, Ft. Hood, Texas, is the contracting activity (DAKF48-99-D-0013).

Raytheon Systems Co., Command, Control, Communications & Intelligence Division, Fullerton, Calif., is being awarded a $169,545,155 (potential value if all options are exercised) modification to firm-fixed-price multiyear contract DAAB07-97-C-C775. The contractor will provide 1,736 Enhanced Position Location Reporting System (EPLRS) Receiver Transmitters (RTs), non-recurring engineering efforts and related spare parts supporting the Army, Navy and Marine Corps. The 2-year multiyear arrangement includes 1,071 EPLRS RTs, non-recurring efforts and spares in the first program year and 665 EPLRS RTs in the second program year. The EPLRS is an Ultra High Frequency tactical data radio that provides the battlefield data communications backbone for the Army's Tactical Internet at Brigade level and below and is the primary means of secure, real-time data distribution for sensor to shooter links, providing vital communications to the Air Defense Batteries. Work will be performed in Forest, Miss. (70%), and Fullerton, Calif. (30%), and is expected to be completed by Dec. 31, 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on April 2, 1999. The U.S. Army Communications & Electronics Command, Ft. Monmouth, N.J., is the contracting activity.

PRIMEX Technologies Inc., Marion, Ill., is being awarded $28,072,333 as part of a $109,164,134 (total if all options are exercised) firm-fixed-price multi-year contract, for a

quantity of two types of training rounds of Medium Caliber Ammunition, M793 (25 mm) and M910 (25 mm). The M793 (25 mm) and M910 (25 mm) are fired from the M242 automatic gun on the Bradley Fighting Vehicle. Work will be performed in Marion, Ill., and is expected to be completed by Feb. 28, 2006 (this is a 5-year multiyear contract with four option years). Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There was an announcement on the World Wide Web on April 20, 1999, and two bids were received. The U.S. Army Armament, Munitions & Chemical Command, Rock Island, Ill., is the contracting activity (DAAA09-99-C-0067).

Alliant Techsystems Inc., Hopkins, Minn., is being awarded $33,239,861 as part of a $144,537,888 (total if all options are exercised) firm-fixed-price multiyear contract, for a quantity of three types of training rounds of Medium Caliber Ammunition, M788 (LW30 mm) M793 (25 mm) and M910 (25 mm). The M788 (LW30 mm) is fired from the M230 automatic gun and is used on the Apache and Black Hawk Helicopters. The M793 (25 mm) and M910 (25 mm) are fired from the M242 automatic gun on the Bradley Fighting Vehicle. Work will be performed at the Radford Army Ammunition Plant, Va., and is expected to be completed by Feb. 28, 2006 (this is a 5-year multiyear contract with four option years). Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There was an announcement on the World Wide Web on April 20, 1999, and two bids were received. The U.S. Army Armament, Munitions & Chemical Command, Rock Island, Ill., is the contracting activity (DAAA09-99-C-0066).

Wolverine Supply Inc.*, Wasilla, Alaska, is being awarded a $6,772,500 firm-fixed-price contract to revitalize and convert nine existing 8-plex family housing units to 4-plex units. Work will be performed at Ft. Richardson, Alaska, and is expected to be completed by Aug. 30, 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 95 bids solicited on April 21, 1999, and six bids were received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Anchorage, Alaska, is the contracting activity (DACA85-99-C-0020).
