The project consists of design and construction of a three-story facility for two operational flying squadrons supporting crew activities and flight operations, with administrative space, briefing rooms and mission planning areas; life support function with training rooms, storage areas, and work centers; and base mobility functions to include warehousing, pallet build-up area and air passenger terminal. ACC Construction Co. Inc.*, Augusta, Ga., is being awarded a $23,704,029 firm-fixed-price contract for construction of a whole barracks complex renewal. The project consists of construction of a whole barracks complex for 168 soldiers which includes one 72-soldier barracks building, one 96-soldier barracks building, one soldier community building, one battalion headquarters with classroom building, and multiple company operations facilities. Thermotrex Corp., San Diego, Calif., is being awarded a $7,063,860 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract with cost-plus-fixed-fee pricing for research and development on the Rapid Optical Beam Steering System, a novel optical tracking system with both a wide field of regard and high resolution fast tracking capability, two characteristics that are usually mutually exclusive in an optical system. This contract contains options, which, if exercised, will bring the total cumulative value to $9,846,233.
