AIR FORCE

Litton PRC, Inc., McLean, Va., is being awarded a $19,600,000 modification to an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract, F30602-99-D-0001, to provide for Defensive Information Warfare Technology Applications program. This effort will develop prototype intrusion detection systems for integration into various systems. There were 49 firms solicited and two proposals received. Expected contract completion date is August 2003. Solicitation issue date was Feb. 8, 1999. Negotiation completion date was July 22, 1999. Air Force Research Laboratory, Rome, NY, is the contracting activity.

General Atomics Aeronautical Systems Company, Inc., San Diego, Calif., is being awarded a $47,066,928 fixed-price-incentive-firm contract to provide for one Predator unmanned aerial reconnaissance vehicle system. This effort consists of seven unmanned air vehicles, a ground control station, six ice protection kits, and associated spares. There was one firm solicited and one proposal received. Expected contract completion date is April 2001. Solicitation issue date was Jan. 25, 1999. Negotiation completion date was July 29, 1999. Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, is the contracting activity (F33657-99-C-3045).

ARMY

Raytheon Co., dba Raytheon Systems Co., Marlborough, Mass., was awarded on Aug. 13, 1999, a $7,506,492 modification to firm-fixed-price contract DAAB07-95-C-B001, for two Fixed Base Precision Approach Radar (FBPAR) Systems and non-recurring costs, part of the Air Traffic Navigation, Integration and Coordination System. Work will be performed in Sudbury, Mass., and is expected to be completed by Dec. 30, 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 123 bids solicited on May 4, 1994, and three bids were received. The U.S. Army Communications & Electronics Command, Ft. Monmouth, N.J., is the contracting activity.

NAVY

Lockheed Martin, Government Electronic Systems, Moorestown, N.J., is being awarded a $10,051,811 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for engineering, technical and program management support for the Taiwan PFG 2 shipbuilding program for the government of Taiwan (100%) under the Foreign Military Sales Program. Work will be performed in Washington, D.C., Moorestown, N.J., and Taiwan. The allocation of work between these locations will be determined via future task orders, and is expected to be completed by September 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity (N00024-99-C-5120).

SRI International, Menlo Park, Calif., is being awarded a $7,600,000 indefinite-delivery/ indefinite-quantity contract with a cost-plus-fixed-fee pricing arrangement for speech and voice recognition software. There is a minimum guarantee of $760,000. Work will be performed in Menlo Park, Calif., and is expected to be completed by November 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured through a Broad Agency Announcement published in the Commerce Business Daily, and 122 offers were received. Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center, San Diego, Calif., is the contracting activity (N66001-99-D-8504).
