Annual Teacher Workshop
The park hosts a teacher workshop annually (usually in December). These workshops offer a variety of learning experiences for professional educators. Our focus is not on teaching classroom techniques; we offer subject matter and resource information teachers can use in the classroom or during visits to the Big Bend area.

Did You Know?
Pummel Peak (6,620'/2018m) is the easternmost of the peaks of the Chisos Mountain range in Big Bend National Park. Viewed from the southeast, the peak resembles a saddle pommel, hence the name (pummel is an alternate word for pommel).
