The Major General Emmett J. Bean Federal Center, commonly referred to as Building One, is located in the northeast Indianapolis area - Lawrence, Indiana - just a short distance outside the I-465 ring. This extraordinary structure is comprised of 1.6 million square feet of federal tenant space and resides on 52 acres of picturesque terrain, accentuated by a newly renovated landscape.
The Bean Federal Center has been extensively remodeled, and its amenities include a conference room, child care center, an ATM, and free parking. Originally known as the Fort Harrison Finance Center and part of the Fort Benjamin Harrison Military Base, the facility was acquired by GSA in 1995.
The 2008 Customer Satisfaction Survey indicates that 85% of the tenants are "very satisfied" with the facilities and services at the Bean Federal Center.
