Fees & Reservations

There are no fees for:

Park Entrance, Activities, Education Programs, or Hunting Permits.

Naturalist Activities and Resource Education Programs are available with reservations, or on selected weekends. Please call 409-951-6725 for information or to make reservations.

Camping

Back Country Camping Only

Fees Free!

Backcountry camping is available. Campers must have a valid Preserve issued Backcountry Use Permit to camp in designated areas. Permits can be obtained at the Visitor Center or Headquarters offices.
Sour Lake Baths  

Did You Know?
Tourism in the Big Thicket area dates back to 1845. A spa located in Sour Lake, catered to the likes of Sam Houston and sold the "sour" water to tourists
