Neb. mother, daughter accused of forging checks

A mother and daughter have been arrested in Lincoln on suspicion of working together to forge checks. Police said officers arrested a 42-year-old woman earlier this month after identifying her as the person who passed eight of 20 bad checks _ totaling nearly $8,000 _ at area grocery stores.

Police seek gumball and candy machine thieves

Police are looking for two men who have stolen gumball and candy machines in a string of seven thefts in the past month at restaurants and businesses. The burglars usually break in by throwing a rock through a window.

Woman allegedly wallops hockey player with stick

Police said a 52-year-old Ketchum woman is facing misdemeanor battery charges for whacking an opposing player with a hockey stick during a no-contact hockey game. Sun Valley police said they issued a misdemeanor battery citation to the woman earlier this week.

Cold feet? Couple marry outside on frigid night
