Note: The FTS2001 Verizon Crossover contract expired January 23, 2008. GSA invoked the Continuity of Services (COS) clause to ensure COS to customers and facilitate the transition to new contracts or services. The contract has been modified so that the COS period, which began on January 24, 2008, has been extended to January 23, 2010. However, with the exception of disconnects, no new orders can be accepted. Further, no changes can be made to types of service, customers, numbers, or equipment. Please contact the GSA POC if you have any questions.

  • GSA-WITS Crossover Program offers Verizon Wireless voice and data services.
  • Ordering activities can be made directly through Verizon Wireless or through GSA.
  • The GSA-WITS Crossover Program also offers the benefits of shorter lead-times, lower administrative costs, and reduced inventories.
  • The WITS2001 contract is a fully competed IDIQ (indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity) contract that was awarded to Verizon Federal, Inc. This contract is an independent vehicle, not part of the GSA Schedules, that provides the flexibility to satisfy evolving customer needs for the mobile worker and to rapidly implement emerging wireless services and equipment in response to those needs internationally.
  • Verizon offers a phone that can be used in the United States based on CDMA technology and the same phone can be used in Europe, and other places outside the United States where GSM technology is available and Verizon Wireless has agreements to access cell service. That hardware can be used only on CDMA and not with GSM in the United States.
  • Convenience and service bundled with a rate plan that allows sharing of minutes or other popular options.
