Periodic Preventive Maintenance

The preventive maintenance record for each vehicle is monitored by GSA Fleet and services are scheduled upon the basis of the vehicle’s age, mileage, and maintenance history. Your agency will be notified by an email that contains a preventive maintenance list depicting which vehicles require service. When a vehicle is due for service, have the preventive maintenance performed no later than the specified due date or mileage, whichever comes first.

In addition, special instructions may appear on the preventive maintenance list for certain types of vehicles. GSA Fleet requests that preventive maintenance be performed as directed by the periodic maintenance Schedule list, unless prior approval has been obtained through the Maintenance Control Center (MCC). Performing maintenance earlier then directed increases operating costs and not performing preventive maintenance can affect the manufacturer's warranty coverage. Please contact the GSA Fleet Maintenance Control Center at 1 (866) 400-0411 with any questions.
