OIR provides expertise on current global conditions for the following Congressionally-mandated reports:
Country Reports on Human Rights Practices;
DOL funded International Exchanges and Training for officials representing ministries of labor, business groups, universities, trade unions and other governmental and non-governmental organizations; and
assistance to U.S. Embassies to determine their labor priorities in their Mission Performance Plans.
OIR also produces Foreign Labor Trends (FLT) Reports Series which provide U.S. stakeholders with information on labor markets and laws and supports the President's trade agenda labor data needs.
OIR provides research and advice to DOL and other USG agency officials on regional labor issues in anticipation of official travel, meetings, and trade negotiations.
