What are the park's hours?

Theodore Roosevelt Island is open from dawn until dusk.


Is there parking available?

Yes.  A parking lot is located near the footbridge leading out to the island.  All parking is on a first come, first serve basis.


Can I bring my dog to the park?

Yes.  All dogs must be on a six foot leash at all times.


Is it possible to bicycle on the Island?

Bicycles are not permitted on Theodore Roosevelt Island. 


How do I get to the park?

Access to the Island is from the northbound side of the George Washington Memorial Parkway only.  Visit the directions page for detailed information.

Winter kitchen at Arlington House  

Did You Know?
Arlington House had two kitchens. The summer kitchen was located in the lower level of the north slave quarters. The winter kitchen was in the basement of the north wing.
