GSA Awards $80 Million Task Order to SAIC for Agriculture Risk Management Agency

Washington, DC -- The U.S. General Services Administration recently awarded an $80 million task order under its Millennia Lite contracts to Science Applications International Corp. (SAIC), McLean, VA, on behalf of the Department of Agriculture (USAD), Risk Management Agency (RMA). Under this task order, SAIC will provide support at RMA offices in Washington, D.C., Kansas City, MO, and more than 15 regional and compliance offices across the country.

The total projected ceiling value is just over $80 million for a six-year period -- one base year and five option years. The scope of this task order is to provide analysis, engineering, maintenance, installation, integration, LAN/WAN hardware and software support and COTS software support. The maintenance of hardware and software systems in conjunction with installation of required new LAN equipment and software systems will provide RMA with an integrated solution to its office automation needs. In addition, engineering and integration support shall be supplied to continue to assist RMA in its transition to new environments and maintenance services, as ongoing assessment and/or update plans require.

The task order was competed among the 11 GSA Federal Technology Service Millennia Lite contract holders. This is a multiple-award, indefinite-delivery indefinite quantity contract vehicle providing a broad range of high-quality systems integration and development services. The contract includes provisions for firm-fixed price, cost-plus-fixed fee task orders with provisions for cost reimbursable line items. The Millennia Lite contract enables GSA to meet the federal government's demand for large systems integration and development projects by supporting its clients in a timely and cost-effective manner.

USDA RMA was established under provisions of the Federal Agriculture Improvement and Reform Act of 1996 and is an independent office within USDA. It is responsible for supervision of the Federal Crop Insurance Corporation (FCIC), administration and oversight of programs or pilot programs involving revenue insurance, risk management education, risk management savings accounts, and the futures market.
