MEDIA ADVISORY: The GSA Presidential Inaugural Committee Fact Sheet

LOCATION:
The Presidential Inaugural Headquarters is located in government-owned space at 600 Independence Avenue SW, Washington, DC.

GSA RESPONSIBILITIES:
GSA Inaugural Committee is composed of experts from across the agency lead by Chief Operating Officer Toni Lewis-Hazlewood. GSA provides direct services, logistical assistance and special services in support of the Presidential Inaugural Committee (PIC), including:

?,000 square feet of furnished general office space to accommodate about 1,300 personnel--700 members of the PIC and 600 members of the Armed Forces Inaugural Committee (AFIC) staff.

?nagement planning, financial, budgetary, inventory control, government procurement and contractual expertise and services. Coordination and facilitation of on-site telecommunications and information technology systems and equipment.

?ysical and personnel security enforcement and coordination between GSA Federal Protective Service, DC Police Department, and other law enforcement entities. Operate and staff the Joint Operations Center for coordination of law enforcement efforts for the Inaugural at the Inaugural Headquarters.

?sist with the coordination of off-site activities and ceremonial events

?cilitate and enhance transportation capabilities by providing motor vehicles facilities and the coordination of traffic and parking requirements at PIC headquarters.

?ovide space at the Southeast Federal Center for motor vehicle support for Inaugural activities.

In addition to direct services, on a reimbursable basis GSA's support consists of office supplies, motor vehicles, inventory management, building signs, and telecommunications and informational technology systems. GSA also provides appropriate physical and personnel security, and as required, off-site parade and other ceremonial related support
