Fees & Reservations

Fees are collected at a self-service pay station at the trailhead. Payment by credit card may be made at the Gila Visitor Center. Payment by exact change or check may be made at the trailhead. Change is only available at the Visitor Center. Credit card payments can only be made at the Visitor Center.

Family
$10.00 per family - per day
A family is defined as one immediate family unit of parents and children.

Individual
$3.00 per adult (16 years and older) - per day
Free entrance for children 15 years and younger. 

Federal Passes
No fee for Federal Pass holders. Federal Passes are available for purchase at the Gila Visitor Center.

School groups or other educational institutions
Free with fee waiver.
Educational groups (from a county, state, or federally-recognized educational institution, such as a school or university coming specifically to study the Dwellings as part of their curriculum) may qualify for a fee waiver at the discretion of the Superintendent. Fee waiver requests typed on school letterhead need to state the date and time of visit, number of people, contact person, and a short description of how the visit fits into the group's curriculum. Please mail or fax fee waiver requests to the Gila Visitor Center at least two (2) weeks in advance of the visit. Contact us.

Did You Know?
There are accessible trails which are good choices for visitors interested in adjusting to the park's higher elevations, groups that include young children, visitors with visual impairment and anyone who finds walking on level, relatively smooth paths attractive.
