Lewis-Clark State College (LCSC) North Lewiston Training Facility Skid Pad

The purpose of this project is to provide advanced commercial drivers license training to truck, bus, and other commercial vehicle drivers in the Northwest region. LCSC will develop a concrete skid to allow for creation of controlled adverse weather conditions (including ice and rain) as well as faulty braking systems, tire blowouts, and anti-skid equipment failure. Hands-on training will be conducted at the facility in accident avoidance maneuvers to reduce the number of crashes and associated costs of crashes.
