Data Collection (8 Truck Study)

FMCSA has collected data and established a large database from the Drowsy Driver Warning System FOT. This study implemented 8 additional trucks independent of the FOT to collect driving data on an additional 100 drivers from different companies and different types of operations. The data will be analyzed separately for crash and near-crash precursors, then utilized to augment FOT database for subsequent analyses.
