The group picnic site can be reserved in advance at no charge to school groups who have obtained an educational fee waiver to visit El Morro.
El Morro National Monument's goals for your visit are to protect the unique resources of El Morro and to help provide a safe and educational setting for your students. To do this, we will need your help. By planning ahead and being prepared for what to expect when you’re here, a school visit can be enjoyable as well as educational for all.

Did You Know?
Early Spanish travelers called the questa El Morro, which is Spanish for the headland or the bluff. Subsequent American travelers referred to El Morro as Inscription Rock, but when it came to naming the National Monument in 1906, the earlier Spanish name persevered.
