Child Care Services
GSA is dedicated to providing valuable services to federal agencies. One of those services is assisting federal agencies in making quality child care services available for young children of federal employees in safe, healthy environments.
Federal agency employees may inquire into obtaining childcare services by:
- contacting the director for the GSA child care center desired, choosing from the current list of the National Capital Region's twenty-eight child care centers
- start the application process by scheduling an interview with the Child Care Center Director to discuss your child care needs and arrange a tour of the facility
- provide contact information so the Child Care Center Director may contact you when space is available.
Many families in the NCR area may be eligible for child care subsidies. GSA child care centers may accept applications from the general public for spaces not filled by federal employees' children.
The majority of NCR's child care centers are accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). GSA's Child Care library provides a wealth of resources, from Tips for Parents, to information for agencies interested in learning more about how to obtain a child care center.
