Maine DEP – EPA NE Performance Partnership Agreement (PPA) Click icon for EPA disclaimer.
The performance partnership agreement outlines the goal, mission, activities and actions that the state environmental agency will be completing during the current performance partnership cycle (usually two or three years). The partnership is between the State of Maine's Department of Environmental Protection and EPA New England.

The purpose of the Maine Atlantic Salmon Commission is to protect, conserve, restore, manage and enhance Atlantic salmon habitat, populations and sport fisheries within historical habitat in all (inland and tidal) waters of the State of Maine.

The Baxter State Park Authority exists to ensure that the Park "Shall forever be kept and remain in the Natural Wild State", to provide recreational opportunities to the public in accordance with trust provisions, to operate and maintain the Park for the use and enjoyment of Maine's people.

The Maine Department of Agriculture, Food and Rural Resources is the State's lead agency dealing with all aspects of the food system from the field to the table. The Department maintains a mission of fostering opportunities for the agriculture community and of promoting stewardship of Maine's natural resources.

The Department of Conservation is a natural resource agency whose bureaus oversee the management, development and protection of some of Maine's most special places: Seventeen million acres of forestland, 10.4 million acres of unorganized territory, 47 parks and historic sites and more than 480,000 acres of public reserved land.

Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife was established to ensure that all species of wildlife and aquatic resources in the State of Maine are maintained and perpetuated for their intrinsic and ecological values, for their economic contribution, and for their recreational, scientific, and educational use by the people of the State.

A nonprofit interstate agency that serves and assists—Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, Rhode Island, and Vermont—by coordinating activities and forums that encourage cooperation among the states, educating the public about key water quality issues, supporting research projects, training environmental professionals, and providing overall leadership in water management and protection.

Northeast States for Coordinated Air Use Management (NESCAUM) Click icon for EPA disclaimer.
A nonprofit association of air quality agencies in the Northeast. NESCAUM's Board of Directors consists of the air directors of the six New England states (Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont), New Jersey, and New York. NESCAUM provide scientific, technical, analytical, and policy support to the air quality programs of the eight Northeast states.

Northeast Waste Management Officials' Association (NEWMOA) Click icon for EPA disclaimer.
A nonprofit, nonpartisan interstate association that has a membership composed of the hazardous waste, solid waste, waste site cleanup and pollution prevention program directors for the environmental agencies in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, and Vermont. NEWMOA was established by the Governors of the New England states as an official regional organization to coordinate interstate hazardous and solid waste, and pollution prevention activities and support state waste programs.
