Personal Propety Management Review Guide
This guide was developed to assist in organizational assessments of the performance of personal property support throughout the federal government. The performance indicators contained within are consistent with the results-oriented focus of the Government Performance and Results Act. Successful performance of the personal property function will contribute to successful program outcomes. Specifically the guide offers the following:
1. Need easy-to-use reference due to changes in personal property staffs,
2. Ready training syllabus for new property personnel,
3. Uniform means to evaluate subordinate operations,
4. Alternative internal control review mechanism,
5. Guidance for agency Inspector Generals (IG) who were looking for a standardized listing,
6. Easier format to change as laws, regulations or industry standards change, and
7. Areas requiring attention or where deficiencies have been noted can be identified and referenced for corrective action.
