Jeffrey E. Neely was named Acting Regional Administrator of GSA’s Pacific Rim Region, effective January 20, 2009.

In this capacity, he will oversee operations in his native California, and in Arizona, Hawaii, and Nevada, as well as leased space in the South Pacific Islands. The Pacific Rim has a federal inventory of almost 1,100 buildings covering 18.1 million square feet of government-owned facilities and 15.4 million square feet of space leased from the private sector. The region has $898 million in annual revenue with an operating budget of $180 million; a capital program of $3.2 billion; a repair and alteration budget of $30.7 million; and a leasing budget of $460.6 million.

After serving three years in the Army, Neely became a GSA intern and later acquired a bachelor of science degree in management from the University of Maryland, and master’s in public administration from the American University in Washington, DC.

Neely held increasingly complex and responsible leadership positions in California, Hawaii, Nevada, Washington, DC at Central Office and the National Capital Region, and in the Heartland Region (Kansas City, Missouri).  He is also an active member of the Building Owners and Managers Association.
