Linda C. Chero - Acting Regional Administrator, Mid-Atlantic Region

Linda C. Chero was named Acting Regional Administrator of the Mid-Atlantic Region on January 20, 2009. 

As acting regional administrator, Chero oversees federal real estate, property, and technology for southern New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, West Virginia, Maryland, and Virginia, with the exception of those counties surrounding Washington, DC.  The region also supports Europe, Africa, and the Middle East.

Chero is also the assistant regional administrator of the Federal Acquisition Service in the Mid-Atlantic Region.  In this position, Chero is responsible for overseeing and managing the spending of over $3.3 billion of the U.S. government’s business with civilian and military federal agencies around the world. 

During her 20 years with GSA, Chero has held several other positions, including deputy regional administrator; director of Programs Services in the Office of Administration; and director of the Federal Technology Service, IT Solutions Financial Services Center.

Chero has a bachelor of arts degree from Rutgers University and a master of business administration from Temple University.
