The GLOBAL CLIMATE CHANGE Team
To address the challenge of encouraging economic growth in developing and transition countries while limiting the associated growth in greenhouse gas emissions, the Global Climate Change (GCC) Team oversees an agency-wide global climate change program.
Working closely with mission counterparts as well as regional bureaus, the team has both sectoral backstopping responsibilities (e.g. clean energy technology, sustainable land use and forestry, adaptation to climate change, climate science for decision-making, and capacity building) as well as geographic backstopping roles (e.g. Africa, Asia, Europe and Eurasia, and Latin America and the Caribbean).
