Educational Resources

GSA offers information and education in various formats. These educational resources may be used for general background training, to build a base of knowledge in a new subject area. There are also specific references created to explain and streamline the use of GSA offerings.

Training
GSA maintains a free online training site with acquisition and security-topic-related training. The security-convergence-related courses available include courses on Using GSA Schedules and the Cooperative Purchasing Program. Access to the GSA Center for Acquisition Excellence requires online registration.

Publications
GSA operates a website that allows customers to order, free-of-charge, or view and download PDFs of publications. Users can conduct a keyword search or browse publications by areas of interest at GSA's Centralized Mailing List Service (CMLS). Some key publications available are:

Resources for State and Local Governments
State and local government entities are authorized to use GSA Schedules as part of special programs. States and localities pursuing or maintaining security solutions that are interoperable with the federal government should review the Cooperative Purchasing program. Other programs, such as Disaster Recovery and the use of Schedule 84 (not yet available) also exist.

Additional Reference
Soon, GSA will be attaching files including statement of work (SOW) language and other work products, useful to the security solutions community. These attachments can be used as reference or as a work-saving tools.
