Keep Winter Cold! CCAN's 4th Annual Polar Bear Plunge
polar bear plungeThere's still time to support CCAN by donating to our 4th Annual Polar Bear Plunge.  This year, over 100 people ran, jumped and dashed into the icy waters of the Chesapeake Bay near Annapolis on January 10.  It's always a blast and the event raises crucial funds to keep us fighting for clean energy.  Go to www.keepwintercold.org to donate to your favorite plunger.  MORE >

Efficiency First!
MeterWe do not have to rely on dirty coal to meet our energy needs. Using existing and affordable technologies, we can keep our energy use stable over the next 20 years simply by investing in energy efficiency.  Tell VA legislators that we want energy efficiency, not new coal! MORE >

Natural Resources Defense Council, Environmental Defense Fund and World Resources Institute propose to sell out the climate
2009 could be the first year we get meaningful legislation coming through congress to deal with carbon and sets us on the path to reduce carbon dioxide in the atmosphere to 350 ppm. Extreme weather knocks the ā€œUā€ off the USA Today Building.
