What’s New

Project Status as of October 6th, 2005

Enhanced Software: A certified version of PCC+ v2.5 was tested and released for national deployment on September 30, 2005. The new version has many enhancements which will improve the usability and functionality of the application. Official version of PCC+ V 2.5: ven_0250.k. Also released is Patch #1: ven_0220.01k

Note: To avoid trouble, install the official version first before installing the patch. All the necessary KIDS files are available from OIT right now. The entire upgrade only takes a few minutes.

Key features of the new version include:

  • An Advanced System Management Utility (ASMU) that improves PCC+ reliability and maintenance
  • A new PCC+ Print Service that is faster, more robust, and capable of presenting PCC data in new objects within word documents; e.g. graphs and self-sizing tables.
  • A new "PCC+ Well Child" form with precision content that replaces the entire set of pre-printed "Well Child" forms currently in use. The form includes growth grids as well as "reminder tables" for (a) immunization forecasting, (b) immunization history, (c) developmental milestones, (d) nutritional counseling topics, and (e) patient education. This form's content is determined by a built-in, editable "knowledge base".
  • New "Mail Merge" fields.
The following sites volunteered and completed beta testing of v2.5:
  • Albuquerque Indian Hospital
  • ANMC
  • Cherokee Indian Triabl Authority
