This Notice serves to announce to the research community that there will not be a competition for the NIDDK Education Program Grants (R25) for the October 1, 2006 receipt date.  PAR-04-148 will be expired. NIH will not accept paper-based PHS398 applications for R25 mechanisms beginning with the October 1, 2006 receipt date (See NOT-OD-06-104: http://grants1.nih.gov/grants/guide/notice-files/NOT-OD-06-104.html). The NIDDK R25 Funding Opportunity Announcement will be reissued, in order to transition to the SF424 (R&R) form for electronic submission through Grants.gov for the February 1, 2007 receipt date.
