Phoenix Area
2001- 2004. It expired December 2004 and is automatically renewed for an additional one (1) year period if neither party requests negotiations
Tucson Area
On June 21, 2004, LIUNA was certified by the FLRA, as the exclusive representative for all professional and nonprofessional employees of the U.S. Public Health Service, Indian Health Service (IHS), employed by the Tucson Area Office, Tucson, Arizona; the Sells Service Unit; including the U.S. Public Health Service Indian Hospital, Sells, Arizona; the Santa Rosa Health Center, Santa Rosa, Arizona; and the San Xavier Health Center, Tucson, Arizona, and by the Pascua Yaqui Service Unit, Tucson, Arizona.
Until a Master agreement is reached between HHS/IHS and LIUNA, we continue using the guidance that was in place coveringLabor Management Relations issues prior to the FLRA Election, which changed the exclusive representative from the National Federation of Federal Employees (NFFE) Local # 520 to LIUNA Local # 1386. This being the Negotiated Agreement between the National Federation of Federal Employees (NFFE) Local # 520 and DHHS/IHS/Tucson Area. LIUNA Local # 1386 concurred and agreed that during this interim period, the Tucson Area IHS and its covered bargaining unit employees would be covered by the existing NFFE Negotiated Agreement.
The effective date of this Agreement was July 27, 1988, with a two year term which expired on July 27,1990, which could then be renegotiated annually.
