Special Recreation Permits

The BLM requires Special Recreation Permits for commercial recreation, competitive events, vending, use of special areas, and organized group activities on BLM-administered public lands in Alaska. These permits help BLM-Alaska manage visitor use, protect natural and cultural resources, and provide a way for commercial recreational uses to occur on public lands.
