Description:

The U.S. Small Business Administration administers grants and contracts as part of its Drug-Free Workplace Demonstration Program. The program was developed to help small businesses deal with substance and alcohol abuse in the workplace. Congress established the Drug-Free Workplace Demonstration Program with passage of the Drug-Free Workplace Act of 1998. The SBA developed the program in conjunction with the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy, Department of Health and Human Service's Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration and the Department of Labor. The Department of Labor's Working Partners Web site features a list of recent SBA Drug-Free Workplace grantees.
