Partner Profile Clif Bar Inc., a 2003 & 2004 Green Power Leadership Award winner, is a Berkeley, California-based producer of all-natural organic energy and nutrition foods. Clif Bar is purchasing renewable energy certificates to offset the energy used to power its offices, manufacturing operations, trucking between the bakery and warehouse, and business travel. In addition, we purchase RECs to climate neutralize select music and athletic events. As part of its commitment to sustainability from the field to the final product, Clif Bar reduced its ecological footprint by purchasing 5.8 million kWh of wind energy to offset its CO2 emissions in 2005, and introduced the sale of Cool Tags at events and on-line to promote personal action to fight global warming. Clif Bar has registered their CO2 emissions with the California Climate Registry for 2004 and 2005.
