Dover, Delaware - The Compliance Assistance
Seminar sponsored by the U.S. Department of Labor’s Employee Benefits
Security Administration (EBSA) and the Delaware Insurance Department, will
take place in Dover, Delaware, November 15-16, at the Modern Maturity
Center, 1121 Forrest Avenue. |
The
Dover seminar is the 29th in a series of ongoing seminars
sponsored by the Labor Department under its Health Benefits Education
Campaign (HBEC). The campaign helps workers and employers, especially
small businesses, understand their rights and obligations under various
health benefit laws. |
As
part of the department’s HIPAA Compliance Assistance Program (H-CAP),
there will be sessions covering Part 7 of the Employee Retirement Income
Security Act. Information also will be presented on the Labor
Department’s claims regulation, COBRA, Family and Medical Leave Act,
health savings accounts and HIPAA privacy. |
Panel
participants will include representatives from the Labor Department’s
EBSA, the department’s Employment Standards Administration, the Delaware
Insurance Department, the Internal Revenue Service and the U.S. Department
of Health and Human Services. |
