recombinant TNF-related apoptosis-inducing ligand TNF-related apoptosis-inducing ligand (TRAIL) is a homotrimeric type II membrane protein that rapidly induces oligomerization of receptor intracellular death domains and apoptosis in a variety of tumor cells. TRAIL mRNA is up regulated in response to IFNA and IFNB. TRAIL demonstrated antineoplastic activity in vivo without significant toxicity. Check for active clinical trials or closed clinical trials using this agent. (NCI Thesaurus)
