Assistance for Americans With Disabilities... |
Plug-ins, File Viewers, and Alternate Contact Information
In 1998, Congress amended the Rehabilitation Act to require Federal agencies to make their electronic and information technology accessible to people with disabilities. Section 508 (29 U.S.C. º 794d), requires that individuals with disabilities, who are members of the public seeking information or services from a Federal agency, have access to and use of information and data that is comparable to that provided to the public who are not individuals with disabilities, unless an undue burden would be imposed on the agency.
If you are having difficulty viewing any file on the GSA site due to difficulties with adaptive technologies, please contact GSA's Section 508 Coordinators (either Jane Morgan (202) 501-2907, or Douglas Smith (202) 501-2995) for assistance. If your questions and or problems deal with other issues, contact the designated web page customer service agent or point of contact for that GSA component.
Plug-ins and File Viewers
As part of GSA's approach to making content accessible, and in compliance with § 1194.22(m) of the final rule, this page fulfills the requirement that "When a web page requires that an applet, plug-in or other application be present on the client system to interpret page content, the page must provide a link to a plug-in or applet...."
All applets, plug-ins or other applications required by GSA web pages and that are not included on the specific page may be found as links from this page.
Note: most of these links are to non-government sources. Address questions about the particular plug-in or file viewer to the respective vendor.
