The DotGov program has completed DNSSEC testing and is now fully operational. For DNSSEC validation, the latest
.gov public key is available 'here' and should be used as the published trust anchor for .gov.

NOTICE: All unpaid .Gov domain names must be paid for via credit card ASAP or they will be subject to service interruption.
You have reached the General Services Administration (GSA) website for domain name
registration for the U.S. government. Since 1997, we have been proud to manage
the .gov and .fed.US top-level domains.
Domain Name Fee Changes
GSA is currently billing $125 annually for each .gov domain name. Please review your
registered domain names and verify you wish to keep them active.
Payment will be accepted only via ACH and credit card.

A CIO letter is required for all deletion requests.
Please fax a signed letter with the domain names to be deleted to (540) 301-0160.
All POC Change Request(s) must be faxed on government letterhead or emailed from an official government email address.

Domain Name Integrity
To maintain domain name integrity, eligibility is limited to qualified
government organizations and programs. Having a managed domain name such as
.gov assures your customers that they are accessing an official US Government
Site.
All DNS changes must be submitted by 4 PM in order to be propagated that day. If you have emergencies and need changes later in the day or on weekends, please call the helpdesk at 877-734-4688 before 4 PM on M-F to request extra service.
