Peoria Federal Building and U.S. Courthouse, Illinoi

100 N.E. Monroe Street
Peoria, IL 61602-1003

Built in 1938 of limestone and granite, the three-story, 118,000-square-foot Peoria Federal Building and U.S. Courthouse was designed in the Art Moderne style, a streamlined look popular in the late 1920s and 1930s. Public corridors and lobbies feature terrazzo floors, marble clad walls, and decoratively painted ceilings. The courthouse's major tenant is the Federal Judiciary.

The building also garnered a customer satisfaction rate of 88% (rating of four or higher on a five-point scale) on the GSA/Gallup Tenant Satisfaction Survey in spring 2008.
