Designed by Chicago architect Mies van der Rohe and completed in 1975, the John C. Kluczynski Federal Building and Loop Station Post Office is a 43-story skyscraper. Located in the Federal Plaza in Chicago's Central Loop, the Kluczynski FB and Loop PO is bordered by Clark Street (west), Jackson Boulevard (south), Dearborn Street (east) and Adams Street (north).
 
Public services include a convenience store, vending area, and an Air Force recruitment office on the 2nd floor; a U.S. Department of State passport office on the 18th floor; an Internal Revenue Service office on the 24th floor; and Senator Richard Durbin's office on the 38th floor.
 

The main plaza to the north features a red steel sculpture named "Flamingo," created by world-renowned sculptor Alexander Calder. Amenities available to federal employees include a credit union and a fitness center. The latest customer satisfaction survey in 2007 resulted in a 91% "very satisfied" rating.
