The main focus of this organization is to prevent illicit drug use among the Nation's youth through the use of media communication. PDFA has launched several well-known national, anti-drug advertising campaigns in its efforts to reduce demand for illicit drugs in America. The Partnership is a private, non-profit, non-partisan coalition of professionals from the communications industry. It receives much of its funding from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, and financial support from several private sector corporations. PDFA does not accept assistance from manufacturers of alcohol and/or tobacco products.
