Business Gateway / E-Forms Initiative

GSA has partnered with the Small Business Administration (SBA) in the Business Gateway initiative, one of the 25 E-Government initiatives established under the President's Management Agenda. The Business Gateway program is comprised of two separate but complementary initiatives:

  • Business Gateway - The Business Gateway, developed and managed by the SBA, is a business portal that will be the single access point for information needed for small business to comply with government regulations.  The Business Gateway will provide businesses with the tools to find compliance information, Small Business Paperwork Reduction Act information, receive assistance, and advice rapidly.
  • Electronic Federal Forms Catalog - The Federal Forms Catalog or Forms.gov, which is developed and maintained by the GSA, will enhance the ability and reduce the burden of the nation's 22.4 million small businesses to access, complete, and submit more than 6,000 regulatory forms. It is the goal of the E-Forms initiative to provide citizens and Forms.gov visitors with a one-stop means to locate and access federal government forms.

Together, the Business Gateway and the Federal Forms Catalog initiatives will provide businesses and citizens with a cost-effective, customer-centered means to access business-related federal government information, services and forms, and reduce the regulatory paperwork burden on business owners and citizens.
