Biomedical Department

The Biomedical Department manages medical equipment risks by performing initial and periodic inspections on all medical/Biomedical equipment used at the Lawton Service Unit. Perform onsite repairs of malfunctioning or none working devices or Initiate maintenance services through active processes. Provide Operator Level training and/or training material to selected staff members on the proper and safe use of medical equipment. Lead all necessary actions required to respond to Hazard Alerts and recalls of medical equipment. Provide consultation and assistance to the Staff as it relates to the safe operation of medical devices. Lead support as related to technological advancements in the services of medical devices and ensure the safety of clients and staff at the Lawton Service Unit in accordance with the Mission of IHS.
