Anesthesia Department
The Anesthesia Department is responsible for providing a variety of in-patient and out-patient services for all age groups.
Examples of services provided include:
- General Surgery
- Obstetrics and Gynecological Surgeries
- Dental and Oral Surgery
- Labor Pain Management
- Pain Management Clinic
The scope of services includes general and regional anesthesia, such as spinal anesthesia, epidural anesthesia, local nerve blocks, such as ankle blocks, axillary blocks and IV regional block such as bier blocks. We conduct pre-operative evaluations to discuss with the patients the type and method of anesthesia administration. Monitor anesthesia care for a variety of surgical procedures and gastroenterology cases. We review the different policies for monitored anesthesia care of the different departments.
The Anesthesia Department also helps manage the scheduling of surgical cases to optimize allocated Operating Room time. The Anesthesia Department oversees the Pulmonary Function Lab and interprets the results for the Lawton Indian Hospital . We also provide a pain management clinic which focuses on acute and chronic pain management issues. Regular hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 7 am to 3 pm, with weekends and after hours covered by the on call anesthesiologist. |
