Fryzel to Appear on Fox Business Network

October 10, 2008, Alexandria, Va. – National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) Chairman Michael E. Fryzel will appear Tuesday, October 14 on the Fox Business Network’s “Money for Breakfast” program.

Fryzel will be discussing the recently-passed Emergency Economic Stabilization Act, which includes the increase in NCUSIF deposit insurance coverage, as well as the current state of the economy and its relation to the credit union industry. The segment will air Tuesday October 14, 2008 between 8-9 am EDT.

The National Credit Union Administration is the independent federal agency that regulates charters and supervises federal credit unions. NCUA, with the backing of the full faith and credit of the U.S. government, also operates and manages the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund, insuring the deposits of nearly 89 million account holders in all federal credit unions and the majority of state-chartered credit unions.
