Fryzel Welcomes Kentucky Credit Union Delegation

September 15, 2008, Alexandria, Va. – National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) Chairman Michael E. Fryzel welcomed 25 Kentucky credit union and League representatives to Alexandria Thursday, and encouraged continued activism and involvement in the governmental affairs process.

“By coming to Washington, meeting with your Congressional delegation, and conveying your message about what credit unions do for consumers, you perform an extremely important service.  I commend you, and strongly urge to build upon the success you have already had in this area,” commented Chairman Fryzel.  “I look to you to do more to help your members, and then make certain that lawmakers know the credit union story.”

Chairman Fryzel’s remarks came during a reception hosted by the Kentucky Credit Union League as part of their annual visit to Washington.   The Kentucky Credit Union League has hosted receptions featuring invited NCUA board members in the Washington DC area since the early 1980’s.
