Force Protection Equipment Demonstration VII, May 19-21, 2009

The Technical Support Working Group, of the Combating Terrorism Technology Support Office, is pleased to announce it is a sponsor of the Force Protection Equipment Demonstration VII. The FPED VII objective is to provide leaders and decision-makers from DoD, Federal departments and agencies, and applicable state and local law enforcement and corrections agencies the opportunity to observe and become familiar with COTS force protection equipment available for procurement and testing within 90 days of the demonstration. The unclassified demonstration is NOT open to the public, and is intended for DoD, Federal departments and agencies, and state and local law enforcement and corrections agencies. Register online.

Human Subjects Use or Animal Testing in Research

As a component of the Department of Defense (DoD), the CTTSO is responsible, by law, to ensure the protection of human subjects and the humane treatment of animals used in research projects. Offerors proposing solutions that include the use of animals or human subjects are required, as a condition of award, to demonstrate compliance with the federal protection standards required by the DoD.
